Frequently asked questions

Information about searching, your account and letting.

Finding a room

How do I find a room?

Open the search page and filter for what you need, such as the city and your budget. Open a listing to see the photos, amenities and rent.

Do I need an account?

You can browse listings without an account. You need to log in to save favourites, create search alerts, send messages and request viewings.

How do I arrange a viewing with a landlord?

Open the student room you would like to view. You can send the landlord a message or request a visit through the listing. The landlord handles your request.

What does “Identity checked” mean?

The landlord has completed an identity check. This isn't a quality label for the room, proof of ownership or a guarantee about a tenancy. View the room and check the arrangements yourself. Find more tips in searching safely for a student room.

Your account

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Request via Forgot password an email to reset your password. Also check your spam folder if you cannot see the email.

How do I get notifications about new rooms?

Save a search with your filters. You can manage your searches and their email notifications under Search alerts in your account.

Letting

How do I publish a listing?

Create a landlord account or log in with your existing account. Add your property and room, complete the listing with photos and rental costs, then submit it for review. You manage your listings under My listings.

Why is my listing not online yet?

A draft hasn't been published yet. Once submitted, the listing is reviewed. Check My listings for its status and any feedback. Also check that your landlord account's identity verification is complete.
